Lost tapes at Iron Mountain exposed personal information of 800,000

One of the problems with sending your data offsite is that human beings have to handle those cartridges. Human beings are prone to making mistakes as evidenced in this report coming out of California. A container holding tape cartridges wasn’t properly secured which allowed tapes to spill out.
