EMC NetWorker Reaches New Milestones

New milestones were reached with EMC NetWorker enterprise data protection software recently. First, end of support was announced for the 7.5 and 7.6 versions of the software effective January of 2014. That gives you over a year to complete your upgrade to the latest version 8 release. Second, was the announcement of SP2 for NertWorker 8.0. Service Pack 2 is a cumulative rollup of fixes and doesn’t include any new features. With the announcement regarding end of support, the process for upgrading to 8.0 becomes front of mind and I am here to help. On support.emc.com is a document titled “EMC® NETWORKER® TECHNICAL GUIDANCE TO UPGRADING” which will help you understand the process and assist you in planning for the upgrade.
